Why should I stay at Tregasso Barn?
Because you will have a brilliant time! The house is a super space, freshly redecorated and stylishly furnished with your comfort in mind. Even at its capacity of 12 guests it never feels full or cramped. That’s important for rainy days and evenings when everyone is around. But let’s not forget the sunny days too! From the beautiful grounds, sheltered patios, stunning scenery and proximity to the beach, Tregasso Barn has it all. And if you fancy venturing further afield, there are plenty of local attractions like lush gardens, great restaurants, cozy pubs, inspirational views, and more. Oh, and the beds are really comfortable too. You won’t be disappointed with a holiday here!
How do I book?
All of our bookings are handled by the fantastic team at St Anthony Holiday Cottages. They are a brilliant local firm who really look after our guests well. Please contact them directly, or drop us a line and we’ll make the introduction.
What is the minimum stay?
We accept guests for 1 or more weeks at a time, from Sunday to Sunday. We can be flexible on arrival dates and length of stays, depending on availability.
When do I check in and check out?
Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. Tregasso Barn is a very large house and so takes several hours for our cleaners to work their magic in time for the next guests! We can sometimes be flexible if we have no guests before or after your stay, so feel free to ask us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Is it good for kids?
It sure is. Kids will love the spacious house to play in, and the ready supply of books, games and toys in the library. Your little bundles of energy can go wild in the garden, with 6.5 acres to explore. Smaller ones might prefer the courtyard garden, which is enclosed and has a little flat lawn to toddle around in. Gillan Beach is just what kids need for their own “Swallows & Amazons” experience. The calm waters are perfect for safe swimming, SUPs and dinghy sailing (you can rent craft from SailAway in St Anthony, across the creek). And don’t forget to bring a bucket and spade!
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved furry friends are always welcome – by prior arrangement. It’s a paradise for walkies, with the garden, private meadow, footpaths and beach all on the menu. A few extra house rules and a cleaning fee applies.
Will I need a car?
We’d advise having a car because Tregasso Barn is quite remote – a small price to pay for heavenly peace and quiet. You could make use of local taxis and grocery deliveries, so if you don’t drive you will be just fine. But a car would be helpful and will make it easier to explore the area’s attractions.
Where are the closest shops?
The big supermarkets and a range of other shops are located in Helston, which you will drive past on your way to the property, about 25 minutes away. There’s a little Spar in St Keverne, about 10 minutes away, which also has some pubs and an excellent restaurant.
